The range that you can achieve on your scooter is dependent on a number of factors: Speed, rider weight & height, tyre pressure, terrain / hills, frequency of stops / starts, ambient temperature & wind speed.
Most scooter manufacturers report maximum range based on tests with optimal conditions at a speed of 15km/h. We have re-tested our scooters at the same speed with similar conditions to provide you with a like-for-like comparison.

Test Conditions: Tested at Evesham VeloPark in the UK, summer 2025 under these conditions: Ambient temperature of 26°C +/-6°C ridden on a flat, level asphalt surface, on a closed loop circuit. Wind conditions <7m/s, ridden at a constant speed of 15km/h maintained with cruise control, total rider weight 75kg (+/-5kg). The tyres were inflated to the maximum pressure stated on the tyre. The scooter was set to ECO mode and the headlight turned off.
Previously we tested at 20km/h, 10°C temperatures, a rider weight of 64kg, on flat level ground, asphalt surface with no wind.
The scooter range may drop if it experiences any of the following conditions, individually or in combination: High speeds, tall or heavy rider, low tyre pressure, steep terrain / hills, high frequency of stops / starts, cold temperature & strong wind.
The max motor power is determined by multiplying the full state of charge battery voltage by the maximum motor input current.
Optimise your Range
Unlock the full potential of your e-scooter with these expert tips on maximising performance, understanding factors that affect your ride, and best practices for a smooth, efficient journey:
Check and inflate your tyres regularly
Keep tyres inflated to the optimum pressure of 36 PSI / 2.5 Bar. Proper inflation improves efficiency and maximises range, but never exceed the maximum pressure marked on the tyre. If you get a puncture or notice excessive tread wear, stop riding and contact your local Pure Electric help desk.
Rider weight and luggage
Your scooter is designed for a single rider with a maximum load of 120kg, including your body weight and any bags or other items. Reducing the load will improve range and performance.
Speed, terrain and hills
For maximum range, ride smoothly and plan routes to avoid hills and choose flatter, less congested routes when possible. Avoid hard acceleration and high speeds, and anticipate stops to maintain momentum.
Temperature and storage
Your battery works best in warm conditions. On cold days, fully charge the scooter at room temperature before riding to improve range. If unused for long periods, keep the battery charged between 50–80%, and recharge monthly to prolong its life. Avoid using the scooter in temperatures below 0°C or above 40°C.
Battery care
Use only the original charger, or a genuine replacement from Pure Electric. When the charger light turns from red to green, charging is complete. To extend battery life, avoid letting it drop below 20%, and don't leave it plugged in after it's fully charged.
